DAY 1

Arrival

Upon arrival to the Ben Gurion International Airport you will meet our representative and transfer to your hotel in Tel Aviv.

DAY 2

Caesarea - Haifa – Acre - Tiberias 

After breakfast checkout your hotel with your luggage. We drive for a short visit of the city of Jaffa (Joppa) where we will take a short walking tour in picturesque alleys of the old, fortified town. We will pass by the house of Simon the Tanner and marvel at the views from the hill top Drive north along the coast to the archaeological ruins of Caesarea, built by Herod the Great in honor of Augustus Caesar. Continue to Haifa, for a panoramic sightseeing tour of the city, including the Baha'i Shrine, Persian Garden, Mount Carmel and Haifa bay. Proceed to Acre (Akko) for a visit of the old, famous Crusader stronghold and medieval fortifications. After exploring Acre we drive toward the Sea of Galilee. Arrive at Tiberias and check-in to your hotel.

DAY 3

Sea of Galilee – Boat ride

Start the day from historic Tiberias, where Jesus lived, sojourned, and preached on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. Our next destination will be Capernaum, the center of Jesus ministry. On to Tabgha, just north of Tiberias, the site of Christ’s miracle of feeding the 5,000 and at the Church of Multiplication, where the mosaic floor depicts a basket with loaves and two fishes. We drive on to the Mount of Beatitudes overlooking the Sea, where Jesus preached the “Sermon on the Mount” and it is believed that Jesus picked his 12 apostles. We ascend to the Golan Heights to view the panoramic view of the peaks of Mt. Hermon, the rugged plateau of the Golan Heights, and beneath it the green pastoral Hula Valley. Return to Tiberias for another lovely night in town. End the day with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee

DAY 4

Nazareth - Jordan Valley - Beit Alfa - Jerusalem

After breakfast checkout your hotel with your luggage. This morning we travel to Cana to visit the Wedding Church where Jesus performed his first miracle, turning water into wine. We proceed to Nazareth, where Jesus spent his childhood, and the Church of Annunciation, built on the site where archaeologists believe the Archangel Gabriel appeared to the Virgin Mary. You will also see Mary’s Well and Joseph’s Church. Drive through the Jordan Valley and the new settlements to the ancient synagogue of Beit Alfa, where depictions in the ancient mosaic floor together with a modern audio visual presentation are an eye-opener to Jewish life in the area from 1600 years ago. Continue to your hotel.

DAY 5

Masada & Dead Sea

Drive to the 1500 feet mountaintop fortress of Masada famous for being the last stronghold of the Jewish rebellion against the Roman Empire. We’ll ascend to Masada by cable car and explore the first century Synagogue, King Herod’s Bathhouse and other sites atop of Masada, descend and continue to the oasis of Ein Gedi, where David hid in a cave when running from Saul, it was here that David composed several of his Psalms, hike Nahal David visiting the largest waterfall and hike up to Shulamits Spring.  Proceed to Qumran where a cache of ancient biblical texts the Dead Sea Scroll were discovered in 1947. From here on to the Golden City of Jerusalem, and proceed to a panoramic view of Jerusalem from Mt. Scopus,. Drive to the hotel

DAY 6

Jerusalem – Old City  - Mahne Yehuda tasting tour

Drive to Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the city. Stop at Mount Zion to visit King David's Tomb, Room of Last Supper and the Dormition Abbey; Enter the Old City and walk through  the Armenian and Jewish quarters to the recently excavated and restored Cardo, the Roman Road. See the Jewish Wailing Wall, The Kotel, and continue to the Christian Quarter. Walk along the Via Dolorosa and visit the Church of Holy Sepulchre. Proceed to Mahane Yehuda to experience the flavors, aromas, colors and the traders' interaction with the crowds, at the largest open market in Israel. During the tour, you will have the chance to stop and taste some of the offerings of the most interesting stands of the market. Speak with the merchants and hear some of the fascinating and fun stories that have become, with time, a part of the unique history of the Machane Yehuda community

DAY 7

Jerusalem New City - Bethlehem

Today's tour includes Yad Vashem the official memorial to the Jewish victims of the Holocaust, established in 1953, located at the foot of Mt. Hertzl. Enjoy Ein Karem; a picturesque village in the south western outskirts of Jerusalem. This small village has great significance in Christian traditions, since this is where according to tradition John the Baptist was born. Continue to the Israel Museum’s Shrine of the Book with the famous Dead Sea scrolls, then a visit to the beautifully renovated model of the Herodian city of Jerusalem, dating back to the time of the Second Temple.  Drive by the Knesset (House of Parliament) and the campus of Hebrew University. Visit Bethlehem to see the Church of the Nativity and Manger Square. Back to your hotel for overnight.

Departure

Transfer to Ben Gurion International Airport for flight back home
